The Incredible Hulk

Depicting the events after the Gamma Bomb. 'The Incredible Hulk' tells the story of Dr Bruce Banner, who seeks a cure to his unique condition, which causes him to turn into a giant green monster under emotional stress. Whilst on the run from military which seeks his capture, Banner comes close to a cure. But all is lost when a new creature emerges; The Abomination. Written by Graham Kroon

Sours: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800080/plotsummary

Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800080/trailers-screenplay-vi3163423001

Well, well, well! None of the Hulk movies I saw before this made any impression on me at all, and so I never every actually understood or remembered if the Hulk was the hero or the bad guy. But I loved that in this movie they pay more attention to the character than the specifics of how he became the Hulk. The special effects were great--so much so that you actually believed that two monsters like the green Hulk and the grey Hulk could exist. A well-done movie overall, and you should definitely not miss the end of the movie. You will love the ending, especially if you are a fan of superhero movies. Criticism: The acting wasn't that great, and at the beginning I had a hard time paying attention, but by the end I realized that it wasn't the acting as much as the dialogue in the script. However, I wish that all superhero remakes were as good as this one and Iron Man... (I still shudder when I remember Superman Returns) Don't forget to vote!

The Happening

Who is attacking us? Or who are we attacking? What's happening with us, and why now?

It's a good movie, but I expected more. Most of Shyamalan's movies tie you to your chair and leave you with a message you talk about for weeks. The story line of The Happening is good and there is a message, but the script and the acting could have been much better--it was only mildly interesting. So far I think this is the worst movie I have seen from Shyamalan, and I had hoped for more. Don't forget to vote!

The Jane Austen Book Club (As was requested)

"All Jane Austen, all the time!" Six book club members find themselves in need of a little distraction in their lives as they beginning reading Austen's classic works. Instead, they find that the books are more than just a distraction: they are the antidote to life itself.
My coments Here is another film that no one heard about, but everybody who has seen it loved it. I was a little sceptical when I first saw the preview and I wasn't really sure I wanted to sit all the way through it. Well, what can I say? I was pleasantly surprised! There are no big names or famous actors, but they definitely chose the best people to make this movie. No movie critic would disagree with me: this is a very well done movie with a story that will leave you thinking and pondering for a long time. Don't forget to vote!

Kung Fu Panda

Comment: King Fu Panda has a cute story, though I was disappoint in the graphics and how they put the whole thing together. But let's be honest--this movie was't written for us adults and this movie is defiitely the kind of movie that if you watch again as an adult, you'll be amazed that you ever enjoyed it at all. In the 21st century, whether you like it or not, you usually expect better animation than this. But is it worth taking your kids to and spending the money on? No question about it: yes, because the kids will love it. And in today's world, nonviolent, cute animated films like this one are hard to come by. Don't forget to vote!!

The Kigdom of Crystal Skul

Famed archaeologist/adventurer Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones is called back into action when he becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.

Sours: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/

Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/trailers-trailer-vi1622278425

My comments: My comments: I just barely came home from the midnight showing. While I watched the movie I was thinking about what I would write about this movie when I got home. Should I write and tell everyone what a great movie this was and how much I enjoyed it? Or should I confess to everyone and say I didn't like it at all?
Let me clarify something: I have never been a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies, but I have seen all of them. So I won't say I didn't enjoy them but they are not my favorite either. During the movie I really tried to get over the fact that Indiana Jones's character has always been unbelievable to me. But I can proudly announce that I did get over it and I tried to focus on the story, not on how many unsurvivable things have already happened and why everyone is still alive. So if I were a huge Indi fan I would say this was a good movie. If I were a normal movie watcher who had seen all of the Indiana Jones movies I would say this movie was a parody of all the previous Indiana Jones movies. But if I am true to myself and write as a movie critic, I would have to say this was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. I have believed for a long time that Hollywood is running out of ideas for new movies, and this movie is another example of that. But let's be honest: this movie wan't made for me. We all know that this movie was made for the Indiana Jones fans and because it would be very good money for the moviemakers, so I won't post any more negative things bcause it won't be appropriate for others who really admire this movie and Indiana Jones. So, Dear Reader, if you are one of those who loves the Indiana Jones movies and you are a big fan, then please don't hesitate to go and watch this movie because I do want to hear your side of the story and how much you liked it. I believe that no matter how bad a movie turns out, we should watch it at least once, and if you love movies you will never feel you have wasted your money or your time.
I also have to say that even though Harrison Ford shouldn't get an Oscar for his acting in this movie, I still hope they finally give him an honorary Oscar for his life's work, for the sake of us movie lovers.

Prince Caspian

"Prince Caspian" finds the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since they left. The children are once again enlisted to join the colorful creatures of Narnia in combating an evil villain who prevents the rightful Prince from ruling the land. Written by Max Davison {RockyHexorcist2785}
My Comments: Wow...... Do you like special effects? Then don't hesitate, don't think, just get up, get up now from your room, close down this blog and go see it if you haven't seen it yet. If you are still hesitating and you haven't left, then let me also tell you that usually when I go to a movie I take notes about my criticisms of the movie, funny parts, etc, and normally I check my watch to see how much time is left in the movie. So while I was taking down notes about this movie (not that I was able to write much, because I was so wrapped up in the story) it occurred to me to check my watch to see what time it was, but then I realized that I didn't want to know because I was afraid that the movie would be over too soon! It's a great movie that grabs you right from the beginning, and you will enjoy it all the way to the end. Of course there will be moments when you wish it would go faster, but just when you have that thought, the moment will pass and you will already be enjoying the next exciting moment. Great movie, great acting, and definitely superb visual effects. Don't forget to vote.

My comments: Well done! I wasn't expecting too much, but what could I have expected when I had never even heard of Speed Racer before I saw the preview? The preview convinced me to go see it, and of course the fact that Susan Sarandon is in it helped too. I wasn't disappointed; in fact, I was pleasantly surprised because it was so much better than I expected it to be. At first the colors bothered me, but then after I got used to them, I started to actually enjoy how colorful the movie was. I had to keep telling myself that this was originally a cartoon. One of the things that surprised me the most and what almost kept me from going to see it was that I was afraid the acting would be bad. In fact it wasn't bad at all! I was impressed that even though this movie was probably made completely within the four walls of a studio, the way the actors made their characters come alive made my imagination take flight. In short, I have to say that it is a very well done movie, and too bad I wasn't watching it in an IMAX theater.

O yeah, I can't forget to mention my favorite actor in the whole movie: the monkey. Well done, my little friend! (Don't forget to vote.)

Iron Man

Tony Stark, technological prodigy, has been making weapons his whole life, not caring about who uses them or who's hurt by them. When he's kidnapped by a terrorist group intent on using his talent to their own purposes, Stark is forced to improvise an escape, and as he gets away, he vows to undo the damage he's done. Starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow as his lovely assistant Pepper Potts.

Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/trailers- screenplay- vi1605304601

My comments: Most hero movies are about heroes who have inborn powers they use to save the world from impending doom. I loved that this movie was different, I loved that the movie had to do with real life situations, war weapons, lies, and money. I also loved that Iron Man's character is believable--I mean that if I can believe that someone can invent a motorbike at the age of 6, then I can definitely believe that at age of 30 that someone can became Iron Man. I didn't expect too much when I first went to see it, but it was so much fun that this movie is going to be the first one I add to my dvd collection this year.(Don't forget to vote)

The Forbidden Kingdom

An American teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kung-fu classics makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself traveling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Monkey King. Sours: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0865556/plotsummary Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0865556/trailers-screenplay-vi4169924889

My comments: If you have one of those days when you want to get away from your daily life but you don't have enough money to go out of town or leave the country, then I have a solution for you! If you have a few dollars in your pocket, then grab your car keys and go see The Forbidden Kingdom. It's a little bit like the Neverending Story for adults, drawing you away to places you have never been. The story has its flaws, but the characters get your attention and pull you into the story. Jackie Chan and Jet Li are an amazing pair--it's too bad they don't play in more movies together! (Please don't forget to vote.)

Under The Same Mooon

A thrilling story about the unbreakable bond between a mother and her 8-year-old son. How much would you sacrifice for the one you love the most?
Movie trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jCZgUiPixE

My coments:
There is not much to say about this movie, which has not been sad already. I haven't cried of happiness and appreciation that much for a long time as a cried at this movie. It made me appreciate more what I have and those around me I love the most. I loved it .........
Criticism: Well done movie, with great actors. But I wanted to see more, just a few more since of what happens with the rest of the characters.

Street Kings

Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.....
My comments: I think Keanu Reeves is great actor, although sometimes his acting can be boring, but since I like him I went to see it anyway. Everywhere I had read about this movie gave it a high rating, so I wasn't afraid of spending 8$ on it.
10 minutes into the movie I realized that it is definitely worth the money. The movie is very bloody, so I don't recommend watching this movie if you are not an action fan. But if you are and you want to see one of the best action movies of the year, then don't wait; it's worth your time and mony. For those of you who are fans of the Godfather series, you will definitely want to see what the Godfather would be like if he were a cop. (Please don't forget to vote.)

Nim's Island

Anything can happen on Nim's Island, a magical place ruled by a young girl's imagination. It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive life in the big city. When Nim's father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with Alexandra. Now they must draw courage from their fictional hero, Alex Rover, and find strength in one another to conquer Nim's Island. Written by Anonymous

I have to say I enjoyed this movie very much! It is a movie of magic and surprises, it is a movie of secrets and bravery, it is a movie of love and friendship. If you are one of those parents who don't let their children watch TV because they are afraid that the TV is bad influence on them, then please, please take them to see this movie. It is such a wonderful experience in the movie theater to hear the noises and laughs of all the children. It was nice to walk out and hear all their comments on the movie. In spite of its faults, the story is compelling enough that you really care about all the characters, you get drawn into what's happening with them, and I promise you will find yourself laughing out loud as you watch.
Criticism: This movie is definitely a kids' movie, but it is enjoyable for us adults who have forgotten how to use our imaginations. It is also obvious that this is not a movie made for the Oscars. The movie script is pretty atrocious--so much so that I couldn't really enjoy Gerard Butler's and Abigail Breslin's acting all that much, even though they are both excellent actors. The story itself is a fantastic idea, but the dialogue was often flat and there are gaping holes in the story. However, Jodie Foster saved this movie with her brilliant portrayal of a phobic recluse. Nim's Island is yet another example of how Jodie can do 100% in comedies, too.

Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligent, student at M.I.T. in Boston who strives to succeed. Ben only wants to make enough money for the tuition to Harvard and then back out. But as fellow card counter, Jill Taylor, predicts, Ben becomes corrupted by greed and his arrogance at winning which lets his feelings get in the way, and it also puts Professor Rosa, as well as the group, on the radar of a brutal casino security enforcer, named Cole Williams, who holds a personal grudge of some kind against Rosa which threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned. My Coments: This movie is one of those movies that got high ratings but I just don't think it was as good as they say. I liked it, but would I watch it again? Yes, but maybe only in 1-2 years. I was too excited to see it and I think my expectations were too high. In some moments the acting was some of the worst I've seen. They could have done so much more with the story, but they didn't. However, just because it didn't fullfill my expectations doesn't mean you shouldn't go see it. Let's see if this helps: I would say it is worth 5 dollars for a matinee, but it's not worth 9 dollars for an evening show.

My comments: Penelope is a cute movie for those who love chick flicks. All of my friends who saw it said they liked it. To be honest I'm having a hard time writing about it because I wasn't that impressed by it but I also wouldn't like to prejudice anyone against the movie. I liked it but I wouldn't watch it again for at least a year. Maybe it's just because I had been looking forward to seeing it for so long--they delayed its release by several months--and I was expecting too much. I would like to hear others' opinion on it. P.S. I love you

Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny, and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief, but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly's 30th birthday in the form of a cake, and to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to tell her to get out and "celebrate herself". In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way; P.S. I Love You. Holly's mother and best friends begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into a new beginning for life. Written by Orange
My Comments: I loved it, I loved it, I loved it, and guess what? It wasn't nominated for an Oscar, not even for a cute little Golden Globe. Please, can someone tell me why? It is a beautiful story with great acting and a meaningful lesson for so many of us. I've mentioned the movie's title to people so many times, but most haven't even heard of it. Just like "Things We Lost In the Fire," no one knows about this movie. It's too bad because it is a fantastic romantic comedy for women and men: it's perfect for a date or even just for a fun night at home. It is funny, it is sad, and you may shed a few tears, but this movie will definitely make the list of your favorite movies. (Please don't forget to vote)
